Precious Stones of Intercession

By Angela Sansone

Our prayers are much like precious stones.  It takes time, perseverance, and tenacity to keep praying for God to break through to people’s hearts, lives, and situations.   –  Angela Sansone

God’s desire is that every one of his brides (churches) be ready for Him to use them for the saving of many lives (Genesis 50:20).  We can only be ready for the Master to use us for every good work (2 Timothy 2:20-21) by personally and corporately being cleansed and by faithfully interceding.  He is more than able to bring our enemies and strongholds to their knees so they fall while we rise up and stand firm (Psalm 20:6-8).

This is a brief account of Angela’s journey in learning each of those lessons while serving on a church staff, during twenty-five Jericho on-site prayer walks, five years of frequent intercession for church leadership and families, and many journal pages detailing God’s directives, workings, and her intercession experiences during those years.

From the Introduction:

Few would disagree that we are at a pivotal point in time where our churches need cleansing, our marriages need strengthening, and our ministries need the wind of the Holy Spirit’s fresh empowering. Like Habakkuk, we have heard of His fame, we stand in awe of His deeds and we long for Him to renew them, in our day, in our time, make them known (Habakkuk 3:2).
